I cant believe that it was last august that I wrote.
Yes I wussed out and did the 25mi ride, and it was a nice easy ride.
During the ride there was one rider that had a bad collision with a car and had to be hospitalized, and I also got to witness some of my fellow riders being typical roadie jerks and hogging the lane and pissing off cars (ugg)
This all made me appreciate my quiet time mountain biking, but I will do the ride again this year and this time I will go for the 50mi.
Ok.... So what has been happening for the last 5 months? (in no particular order)
- Turned 39 in October and celebrated our one year anniversary in our new house
- Went back to school and took one computer class during the winter quarter to get started (intro to computers, and I got an A, woo hoo!)
- Adopted a beautiful little girl.....kitten! Her name is Rowan, Dana and I love her dearly
- Survived the Holidaze at the mall with my wonderfully supportive boss (insert dripping sarcasm here)
- Enjoyed a great Christmas vacation visit from my globetrotting parents,my brilliant sister, and my cool brothers
- Followed through on my new years resolution to go back to school and get out of my wonderful job (its only money right?)
